Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Do you have a song list?
A. No, I follow what the DJ is playing, I do not have pre-recorded mixes. If you would me to play something for you - pass a few songs over to the DJ and when he plays them - I will play alongside them.
Q. Is booking extra entertainment alongside you, worth it?
A. From my experience, YES ABSOLUTELY! Don’t compromise on getting a percussionist or singer or both - The energy is seriously unparalleled, all of us bouncing off each other is a sight to behold and makes an atmosphere that is truly unforgettable. (Should you need any more reassurance!)
Q. What is your typical length of a performance
A. 2 hours, this is broken up into 4 x 15/20minute sets within that 2 hour period for an evening performance. For an afternoon performance - typically it is an hour and that is divided into 2 x 20/25mins sets. Should you want me to play longer, there is an additional hourly charge.
Q. What are your prices?
A. Prices vary from event, they could include travel expenses/hotel expenses should the event be particularly far to travel to. It’s really important that you list where the event is so we can be sure. The price also reflects the experience and knowledge from 12 years in the industry with over 1000 wedding performances (yes I double checked!).
Q. Can you work with any DJ?
A. Yes, I can work with any DJ, of course it is preferable to work with someone I trust and have a good chemistry to perform with. However that doesn’t mean to say I cannot work with someone if you have already booked them.
Q. I want to book, what are the next steps?
A. If you want to go ahead and book after receiving a quote - I would require a deposit to secure the date. Once that has been paid, you will receive a confirmation email letting you know that your date is firmly in the diary. Then I would require the remaining balance the week of the event. Should you forget/not pay the deposit THERE IS NO GUARANTEE that if another event comes through on that date, that I will be able to keep yours free.
